💡 Methodology
We measure the popularity of technologies by analyzing their usage on websites.
- The analysis is based on our extensive dataset of websites crawled by the Website Information tool and other tools available on our site. This dataset is broad and diverse enough to be considered a representative sample of the web.
- Currently analyzed: 4,445 technologies across 3,531,905 domains from 247 countries and territories.
- We use our own advanced technology detection algorithms with a focus on accuracy.
- We apply multi-level algorithms for website country detection.
- Some websites have no country determined if we can't reliably detect it (e.g., the domain has private WHOIS data and is hosted on a global CDN). Such sites are not used in country-specific statistics calculations.
- Only technologies from websites returning HTTP 200 (success) or 3xx (redirect) responses are analyzed.
- Third-level domains (subdomains) are treated as separate sites, as they often use distinct technology stacks (for example, microsoft.com is powered by Adobe Experience Manager, while techcommunity.microsoft.com uses
Khoros Communities).
📌 Disclaimer
This is an independent service. All technology rankings and statistics are calculated automatically, based solely on our detection algorithms and collected data.
We identify technologies using various methods, such as analyzing website content, HTTP headers, and cookies. However, without insider information, it may not be possible to detect certain technologies if they do not appear on the site in any form.
While we strive for accuracy, please note that our results are estimates. Therefore, the data is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.
