💡 Methodology

We measure the popularity of technologies by analyzing their usage on websites.

• The analysis is based on our extensive dataset of websites crawled by the tools available on our site. This dataset is broad and diverse enough to be considered a representative sample of the web.
• Currently analyzed: 4,708 technologies across 4,023,754 domains from 248 countries and territories.
• We use our own advanced technology detection algorithms with a focus on accuracy.
• We apply multi-level algorithms for website country detection.
• Some websites have no country determined if we can't reliably detect it (e.g., the domain has private WHOIS data and is hosted on a global CDN). Such sites are not used in country-specific statistics calculations.
• Only technologies from websites returning HTTP 200 (success) or 3xx (redirect) responses are analyzed.
• Third-level domains (subdomains) are treated as separate sites, as they often use distinct technology stacks (for example, microsoft.com is powered by Adobe Experience Manager, while techcommunity.microsoft.com uses Khoros Communities).
• We analyze website index pages only, so the statistics for some technologies typically used on subpaths, like JSDoc and Javadoc, may not fully reflect their real market share.
